Increase Your Search Engine Rankings With These 3 Easy Steps

Search engine optimization is a concept that many people overlook, as it seems to be somewhat of a black art. Well I am here today to let you know that it’s time to face this fear. A high search engine ranking for your website is so essential that if you have the slightest desire to actually succeed in your business, there is no way you can continue to avoid this issue.

Search engines like Google, Yahoo and Msn attract up to 85% of all searchers using the internet. Search engine optimization is based around the principle that you should have your website ranked well for the search engines to attract targeted customers to your website, who are then more likely to make a purchase.  The higher your page comes up in search engine results, the greater the traffic that is directed to your website. This is the principal of search engine optimization. For more information on Search Engine Optimization and other internet marketing techniques, take a look at Commission Blueprint at my blog.

You can immerse yourself in all the technical information available online to figure out how to optimize your web pages to achieve higher rankings. Or, you can make a few simple on page adjustments to your website, which can help to improve your search engine rankings. The first item you should examine is the title bar on your homepage.

The title bar is featured at the top left hand corner of your internet browser. Go to your website home page and look at what the browser says. To increase search engine rankings, the words on your homepage’s title bar should include the most important keywords or phrases, one of which would include your company name.

Then click on all your links and examine the title bars on the pages you access. All the title bar’s for every page should contain the most relevant phrases and keywords for that page. Try to only have around six words or less for each title bar phrase. Avoid repeating keywords more than once in the title bars, and make sure that identical words are not next to each other.

The next item to put under your microscope is your website content. The text on your pages must contain the most important keywords, and the words that potential customers will be typing into search engines to find your site. If you want more on this, be sure to take a look at Commission Blueprint at my blog.

You should try and have anywhere from 100 – 250 words on each page. To achieve good rankings in the search engines, having this text is essential. The search engines must be able to read the text in HTML format, and not graphics.

Take your cursor and highlight the text to see if it is in HTML format. If the text will not highlight, it is probably in graphic form. To achieve better search engine rankings, you should have your webmaster change the format to HTML.

Next we come to what is called meta tags. The truth is, meta tags don’t really have that much of an effect on your overall rankings. Although, it’s worth adding them in the event that a search engine will use meta tags in their ranking formula.

Go to the “view” tab on your web browser and select “source” to see if the meta tags are set up properly. This willpull up a window revealing the underlying code that created the page. Near the top of the window, you will see your meta tags if you in face have any. If you have these, it will read, meta name=”keywords” content=. Ask your webmaster to put in this code if you do not have it.

Last is link popularity. This is the most important part of search engine rankings. This is the amount and quality if links that link to your website. Having this directs more quality traffic to your website, and also increases search engine rankings.

Having a good search engine ranking is crucial for your success as an internet marketer, or any business for that matter. Remember, the higher your search engine ranking, the more quality customers will be directed your way.

What New Affiliate Marketers Need To Know To Avoid These 3 Common Mistakes

Affiliate marketing is one of the most effective and powerful ways of earning some money online. Since these affiliate marketing programs are easy to join, implement and pays a commission on a regular basis, more and more people are now starting in this business. Affiliate marketing, like any business, also has it’s share of problems. To find out more about this, check out Commission Blueprint.

Promoting the wrong products – Mistake no. 1

Everyone wants to make money from affiliate marketing as quick as they can. When choosing a product to promote, everyone tends to select a bandwagon product. Many other affiliate are already promoting this type of product. This also means selecting a product that is in high demand and they are not thinking about if the product actually appeals to them.

Rather than selecting a product that everyone else is promoting, you could select a product to promote that interests you. Research to see if the product is in demand once you have selected an appropriate offer. Is is a lot easier to promote a product that interests you as opposed to only promoting a product for the purpose of making money through commissions.

Mistake number 2: Joining too many affiliate programs.

Many affiliate programs are very simple to join, and one may want to join them all in their effort to maximize their earning potential. Surely there is nothing bad about joining too many affiliate programs to maximize your affiliate earnings right?

An important income generating system is joining many affiliate programs. However, joining multiple programs and attempting to promote them all at the same time will prevent you from concentrating on each one of them.

Take the time to select the best affiliate products and build up from there. There is really no need to rush into things, especially with affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing will be around for a long time to come, and that’s why it is important to select the correct products for long term profits.

3rd most common mistake: Not using the services or purchasing the product

Being an affiliate marketer, you need to be able to promote a product successfully enough to convince people to purchase it.

An important part of being an affiliate marketer is being able to verify that the product you are promoting is actually what it is made out to be. Having the ability to sell products through experiencing what they are really about is a lot more powerful than selling a product that you have not tried or experienced. Your customers will then feel the sincerity and truthfulness in you and this will trigger them to try it out for themselves.

Although these mistakes may seem like common sense, to many new people it can be information that is needed in order to succeed for the long term. To not fall into the same situation they have been in, try to do everything to avoid making the same mistakes.

The key is time. Being on the right track and setting your marketing up properly is just as important (if not more) than selecting the right product to promote. When done correctly; you can then expand your marketing campaign to maximize your affiliate earning potential. If you would like to discover more information about this subject, take a look at Commission Blueprint.
